Diastasis Recti is the technical term for abdominal separation. The word 'diastasis' means separation and 'recti' refers to the outermost abdominal muscles. So, it is a separation of the outermost abdominal muscles.
When the muscles separate the connective tissue (linea alba) joining these muscles stretch sideways causing it to become thinner and weaker meaning it cannot effectively support your belly button, back and organs. To have a strong core, your muscles must be close together.
No Mummy Tummy uses the worldwide leading and medically-proven Tupler Technique® to prevent and heal abdominal separation. Developed by Julie Tupler, who Dr Oz calls 'an expert on treating diastasis recti'.
I wholeheartedly celebrate the miracle of what my body has achieved and that I was able to birth 3 gorgeous little humans, but they also stretched my body to epic proportions...
As a mum, it can be difficult to maintain momentum and make time - even when you are achieving results. Having someone cheer me on, hold me accountable, and most importantly ensure I was doing the exercises correctly was worth every penny.
Having a Coach was a godsend. I know that I'd still be saying "tomorrow" if I didn't have a coach, but more importantly, they would check I was performing the exercises correctly to ensure I was doing them effectively to heal as quickly as possible.
I can now wear a tee and bathers without feeling extremely self-conscious and ashamed of my body.
Thank you to Claire for her amazing support and for letting me know all about the Tupler Technique. It has saved me from going down the surgery path to repair my diastasis.
I could see visible results within the first week. It does take time and commitment but the results are worth it.
It is not nice to be asked if I’m pregnant.
My connective tissue was very weak and no other specialist had ever mentioned this before, only the muscle separation was ever referred too. I’m proud to say my connective tissue is much stronger now, my diastasis is closing and I don’t look pregnant.
Thank you from Jana.
